Tuesday July 27th was a great success for the Lethbridge Bulls. It was the final regular season game, and the Bulls took the win 7-4 over the Edmonton Prospects. Tuesday night was also fan appreciation night and strike out for hunger. With the stands packed and everyone brining a food donations the Lethbridge Bulls managed to collect 722 lbs of food for the Interfaith Food Bank.

The Bulls play game one and two of playoff in Okotoks this Friday and Saturday and will be home to play game three and hopefully four Sunday and Monday. Sunday’s game will be an evening game starting at 7:05 pm.

It was a great weekend of baseball at Spitz Stadium. The weekend started Thursday night with the Bulls playing against the Swift Current Indians. With the game going into the 11th inning the Bulls took the win 7-6. Friday night the Bulls faced the Indians once again, but the end result did not turn out quite the same with the Indians winning 11-7. Saturday night the Bulls hosted the Melville Millionaires. It was a well played game against the Millionaires, with the Bulls taking the win 13-7. On Sunday the Millionaires were back at Spitz Stadium to face the Bulls. After a hot day in the sun the Bulls got their second victory of 9-3 over the Millionaires. The Bulls will play their final season game before playoffs Tuesday night at Spitz Stadium against the Edmonton Prospects. Game time is at 7:05pm.

Tuesday night is Fan Appreciation night, as well as Strike Out for Hunger. Those that bring a non-perishable food item for Interfaith Food Bank will receive $5 off regular admission price. Also those who make a donation to Interfaith Food Bank will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a prize each time the Bulls STRIKE OUT a player from the opposing team. Last year STRIKE OUT HUNGER spectators packed the stadium and collected 331 pounds of food for Interfaith Food Bank.  Let’s try to beat that record at this year’s game.

A Car Smash will also be held before the game between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm, one swing for $1.00 and five for $3.00.

Special Breast Cancer Jersey’s will be worn by the Bulls Players during the game. The General Public will be able to bid on all these jerseys through a silent auction. Thanks to Minuteman Press and ATB Financial all the proceeds from the auction will go directly to help in the fight against Breast Cancer.

Bulls Breast Cancer shirts will be for sale to the Public, as well as pink bracelets thanks to Bonavista Petroleum. We encourage fans to come dressed in pink for the game, and show your support.

After an almost two hour rain delayed game, the Lethbridge Bulls got an outstanding 18-2 win against the Okotoks Dawgs last night. Tonight the Bulls will once again face the Dawgs, but this time the Bulls are on the Dawgs territory. Can the Bulls make it two wins in row against the Dawgs?

The Bulls will play their last away game tonight in Okotoks and will back at home on Thursday July 22 to face the Swift Current Indians.
