4 Lethbridge Bulls Named To WCBL Regular Season All-Star Teams

The Lethbridge Bulls were well represented when the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) announced its 2025 Regular Season All-Star Teams, with four Bulls players earning recognition for their outstanding performances this summer. The selections highlight another strong season for the Bulls organization, showcasing the talent and development that continues to define Bulls baseball at Spitz Stadium.

Bulls All-Star Selections

  • Levi Abbott – Pitcher, First Team All-Star

Abbott capped off a stellar season by being named the WCBL’s Most Outstanding Pitcher. The veteran right-hander dominated opposing hitters all year, leading the league in ERA (1.38) and tied for the league lead in wins with teammate Maxim Mrakovcic with 7 all while anchoring the Bulls’ rotation. Abbott also struck out 69 batters over his 8 starts. His consistency and leadership set the tone for the Bulls’ pitching staff.

  • Donovan Gamez – Relief Pitcher, First Team All-Star

In his second year with the Bulls Gamez took over the Bulls closer roll and ran with it flawlessly. In his 15 appearances out of the Bulls "pen" Gamez had a 1.68 ERA recording 24 strike outs all while recording 8 saves which was most in the WCBL in 2025.

  • Bernie Socarras – Outfield, Second Team All-Star

Socarras was nothing short of spectacular at the plate and in the field for the Bulls in 2025. "Bern Baby Bern" led the WCBL in batting average hitting .405 in 41 games. Socarres chipped in with 4 home runs and 23 RBI's in his second year with the Bulls.

  • Carter Claerhout– Infield, Third Team All-Star

Red Deer native Claerhout returned to the Bulls lineup after taking most of the 2024 season off and it paid dividends for himself and the Bulls in 2025. Claerhout played in 54 games as either a DH or patrolling first base. Claerhout hit .321 on the season with 9 HR's and 43 RBI's.

A Season of Growth and Recognition

Bulls head coach Ryan MacDonald  praised his players’ efforts and commitment:

“These four guys represent what Bulls baseball is all about — hard work, team-first attitudes, and competing every single day. Their success is a reflection of the entire roster’s effort this season.”

With four Bulls earning All-Star recognition, the 2025 season stands as another proud chapter for the organization and the Lethbridge baseball community.
