The Lethbridge Bulls are pleased to announce the addition of another returning player for the 2022 Western Canadian Baseball League season.
Nick Gravel, an infielder from Fall River, Nova Scotia will return to the Bulls for his second season in the windy city. Last season, in 41 games, Gravel posted a .307 batting average with 2 home runs and 23 RBIs for the Bulls.
Gravel says he is looking forward to playing in the front of the Lethbridge faithful in 2022.
“I’m mostly looking forward to the fanbase. I never really got to play in front of a crowd of that size before. Parents bringing out their kids that look up to us, it’s pretty cool. Because I used to be that same kid when I was younger.”
Gravel is no stranger to Southern Alberta. Gravel is an alumnus of the Vauxhall Jets Academy program and currently plays collegiately with the Prairie Baseball Academy in Lethbridge. Gravel says the opportunity to play baseball keeps him in Southern Alberta
“I was kind of nervous when I first moved out here. I’ve made quite a few friends out here now. Just being able to play baseball with all my buddies out here is a lot more fun than being at home.”
The Prairie Baseball Academy competes in the Canadian College Baseball Conference (CCBC). Lethbridge Bulls Flex Pack Tickets for the 2022 season are on sale now.
