5th Annual TCMM Game

05/05/2016 1:48 PM -

The 2016 Tanner Craswell and Mitch MacLean Benefit Game will take place on Wednesday May 25th. This year will be the 5th annual TCMM game. It is crazy to think that it has been over four years since the horrible day that took two amazing young men from the Lethbridge baseball family.

This year will bring a couple of changes to the format from the past. On May 25th the current Vauxhall Jets will play the current Lethbridge Bulls at Spitz Stadium. The TCMM Benefit game will take place at 7:05pm. The night game between the two teams has become annual event, and a great evening to come support the TCMM Memorial Fund, and watch a ball game. There will also be a kid’s camp, starting at 5:00pm at Spitz Stadium. Steak dinners are available, starting at 5:00 for $30.

In years past, before the Jets and Bulls play there has been a Memorial game for friends, family, and alumni. Instead of playing that game beforehand the Bulls have pushed the date of the TCMM Memorial game back to June 25th.  The day starts at 12:00, with an alumni, friends and family batting practice. From there we move on to the Home Run Derby at 1:00, this will be four current Bulls players against four Bulls alumni, but only one winner. There will be a Calcutta auction for the Homerun Derby, which gives the opportunity to bet on a player and win big yourself. The Memorial Game will take place, starting at 3:05.The game will be open to any former PBA, Bulls or Vauxhall players. Two teams will be made from confirmed players, and the boys will play during the afternoon. After the memorial game, the current Bulls will take on a new addition to the WMBL this year, the Brooks Bombers at Spitz Stadium. The Bulls game will take place at 7:05pm. During the evening, there will be a cabaret at Average Joes with a live band. This allows for a night of socializing and meeting up with old friends and teammates.

There will be a steak dinner available to all alumni and fans on the patio at Spitz Stadium. Tickets will be $30 and all proceeds will go towards the TCMM Memorial Fund, which provides scholarship money to young ball players in Alberta.
