Bulls Walk Off Against Okotoks in 10!

07/31/2015 3:57 PM -

The Bulls found a way to win again yesterday at home in front of a big crowd in the second last home game of the 2015 season.  With a 4-3 walk-off win in the 10th inning the Bulls beat the Okotoks Dawgs for the 6th time this season. It was a very close contest throughout. The Bulls used a total of five pitchers on the evening. Getting their starters into the game for some work before the playoffs start Sunday.

Cody Stewart continued swinging a hot stick for the Bulls. Stewart was 4-6 with an RBI on the night. Three players came off the bench and were big for the Bulls. Josh Day ripped a double into the right center gap and scored in the 8th inning to tie the game at 3-3. Taylor Hutchison was 2-2 in relief of Evan Comeau who was hit by a pitch and had to leave the game, and Mason Shiflett had and RBI and scored the game-winning run with an athletic slide to avoid the Okotoks catcher’s tag.

The Bulls improved their WMBL best record to 34-13. The boys will host the Okotoks Dawgs tonight at Spitz Stadium in the last regular season home game of the season.

The Bulls will not find out who they play until around 10:00 pm tomorrow night. Two games need to be made up in the Saskatchewan division tomorrow. Melville will play Moose Jaw and Regina will play Swift Current. The Bulls will face Melville, Moose Jaw or Swift Current in the first round of the playoffs. The first game will be at 6:05 pm Sunday night at Spitz Stadium.
