LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Bulls made a commanding move Tuesday, announcing the signing of 2018 WCBL Rookie of the Year, Kaleb Warden out of the University of Arkansas at Monticello (NCAA Division II).
Warden will be entering his second season with the Bulls after dominating the WCBL in 2018. In 46 games, the first baseman posted a slash line of .369/.444/.542 with seven home runs and 38 RBI, leading to his Rookie of the Year award win.
The Frisco, Texas native is currently attending the University of Arkansas at Monticello where he plays for the Boll Weevils. This season with the Weevils, the slugger posted a batting average of .315, while clobbering 10 home runs and driving in 39 RBI in 39 games during regular season play.
The power swinging first baseman will begin the 2019 campaign as the everyday starter when the season rolls around on May 25th as the Bulls kick off the year in Edmonton, before coming home for the VisitLethbridge.com Home Opener on May 30th against the Fort McMurray Giants.
