After the first eight games of the season, the Lethbridge Bulls hold a record of 4-4, placing them third in the Western Canadian Baseball League's West Division trailing only the Okotoks Dawgs, who hold a perfect 7-0 record, and the Edmonton Prospects, who sit at 6-4.
The Bulls recently had their best stretch of baseball, snagging a three-game win streak, scoring 51 runs during that time, after clobbering the Medicine Hat Mavericks by a score of 18-4, then again two days later 11-4. The bats kept on swinging after Lethbridge then beat the Brooks Bombers on Wednesday, 22-5. The win streak was snapped by the Okotoks Dawgs Thursday with a 9-5 loss.
Second baseman, Ashton Roy has been the talk of the town in recent days after he had a night to remember against the Brooks Bombers Wednesday when he hit three home runs and drove in nine RBI.
"It was my first time hitting more than one home run in a game at any level I have ever played, so it was very special," said Roy.
Lethbridge is back at home Saturday for KCL Cattle Kids Night, when they welcome back the Brooks Bombers to town.
