Bulls Sign Four Pitchers

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Bulls are proud to announce the signings of four impactful members to the teams pitching staff for the 2019 season. 

RHP Liam Sabiston - Eastern New Mexico University

The 6'3, 180 pound relief pitcher from Calgary, Alberta will be retutning to the Bulls for a third season. Currently playing for the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhounds in the NCAA Division II - Lone Star Division, Sabiston has been developing into a dominant relief pitcher, posting 18 strikeouts in 22 innings pitched, with four saves under his belt this season. Over his two years with the Bulls, Sabiston has pitched 79 innings, striking out 47 batters in that time.

RHP Kyle Poapst - Prairie Baseball Academy

The 6'5, 200 pound reliever from Stettler, Alberta will be playing in his third season in the Western Canadian Baseball League and second season with the Bulls. A year ago with Lethbridge, Poapst pitched 22 innings and struck out 16 batters, posting an ERA of 4.50. Currently attending Lethbridge College and playing for the Prairie Baseball Academy, Poapst will be relied upon as a late inning reliever to shut down games for the Bulls this season.

RHP Brady Moxham - South Dakota State University

The 6'3, 200 pound right-handed pitcher from Oakville, Manitoba will be pitching for the Bulls this year for the first time since the 2017 season. Currently attending South Dakota State University, playing in the NCAA Divison I - Summit League, Moxham has put up impressive numbers thus far, striking out 68 batters in 73 innings. During his time with the Bulls in the 2017 season, Moxham started nine games, striking out 54 batters in 59 innings, finishing with an ERA of 3.92. 

LHP Adam Macko - Vauxhall Academy 

The 6'0, 180 pound left-handed pitcher from Stony Plain, Alberta will be pitching in the Western Canadian Baseball League for the first time this season. Currently attending the Vauxhall Academy of Baseball, Macko has become one of the most dominant pitchers in the program and has committed to NCAA Division I School, Purdue and will begin his time there next year. 

The Bulls season begins May 25th in Edmonton, as they take on the Prospects in a two game set before heading home to face the Fort McMurray Giants in the VisitLethbridge.com Home Opener May 30th. To purchase tickets to the hoem opener, click here
