The Lethbridge Bulls defeated the Meville Millionaires by a score of 8-2 in a shortened game that went only five innings due to rain.
Hank Forrest had three RBI and a home run in the winning cause, while Kaleb Warden and Blake MacDonald also provided some fireworks with their own home runs.
The Bulls scored three-runs through the first three innings before a five-run fourth thanks to a three-run home run from Forrest and a two-run homer from Warden, which made the score 8-0 at that point.
Nick Ankermann had two of the Bulls nine hits in the game, while Dylan Borman added an RBI for the first run of the ball game.
Melville would add two-runs in the fifth, but it wasn't enough before the game was called.
Ben Erwin got the start on the mound for Lethbridge throwing all five innings of work, allowing only four hits, while striking out four.
Lethbridge is currently 2-3 on their road trip through Saskatchewan, which has them traveling over 1500 kilometers to Regina, Yorkton and Melville for a total of six games in six days. Their final game of the trip will be Wednesday, July 11th when they take on Melville for the second of a two game set before coming back to Alberta for a matchup with Okotoks at Seaman Stadium on Friday, July 13th.
The Bulls next home game is Saturday, July 14th when they take on the Moose Jaw Miller Express with first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm at Spitz Stadium.
