Bulls Beat Swift Current
The Bulls scored a big road win Tuesday and handed Swift Current their first loss of the season. The Bulls collected 16 hits on their way to a 10-5 win over the Indians.
The Bulls jumped out to a 3-2 lead after two innings, added five more in the fourth, and two in the fifth to go up 10-4.
Several players had multiple hit games. Scott Hornstra was 3 for 4 with two runs scored, Josh Lowden was 2 for 3 with a double. Eric Dorton went 2 for 5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Joel Blake was 3 for 5 with a double and an RBI, and Steve Hobbins also drove in two runs.
Brendan Miller was 2 for 5 with a double and a two run home run, and Ryan MacDonald also slammed a two run homer.
Adam Reynolds continues to pitch very well. He went five innings to record the win, improving his record to 3 and 0. He allowed two runs on five hits, struck out four, and did not walk a batter. Lefthander Josh Drews, Hornstra, Jimmy Munnil and Steve Hogue, also saw action in relief of Reynolds.
The win gives the Bulls a record of 4 and 3, as they prepare to meet Okotoks Thursday night in the opening game of a four game homestand. Righthander Alex Tufts is scheduled to get the start. Game time at Spitz Stadium is 7:05.
