The Lethbridge Bulls open the 2010 Western Major
Baseball League season next month with several players returning from last season. along with the Head Coach. Scott Rhodes is back for his second season with the Bulls as Head Coach. He resides in Alamogordo, New Mexico where he's a physical education teacher and high school baseball coach. Scott was born and raised in Champion and played American Legion Baseball in Fort Macleod. Ryan MacDonald, who played three seasons with the Bulls, will be an assistant coach this year. Ryan is currently assisting with the Prairie Baseball Academy Junior Varsity program.

The roster includes nine returning players. Veteran shorstop Dustin Bissonnette is among the group of returnees; along with infielders Josh Lowden and Brendan Miller, outfielders Zach Rhodes and Eric Dorton, catcher Jamie Mitchell, and pitchers Adam Reynolds, Mitch Schaafsma and Alex Tufts. And former Bulls pitcher Darrell Ellis is scheduled to return this season.

The Bulls are also pleased to announce a member of the Lethbridge Hurricanes is joining the baseball club for the 2010 season. Mitch Maxwell, who had an outstanding season with the Canes during the past hockey season, has been added to the roster. Maxwell
played American Legion Baseball in 2009 with the Lethbridge Spitz Elks. Three of his teammates with the Elks, outfielders Mark Clauson and Tanner Granberg and pitcher Cole Lencucha, are also on the roster for the coming season.

Bulls President and General Manager Kevin Kvame continues his commitment to not only putting a competitive team on the field, but also in making on-going improvements to Spitz Stadium, the home of the Bulls. The main upgrade this year is a new scoreboard that will be installed before the season begins.

Last season the Bulls finished second in the WMBL's West Division with a record of 25 and 21, then lost an
opening round best of five play off series to Medicine Hat three games to two. The Bulls open the 2010 regular season with four games on the road, May 28 and 29 in Edmonton, and May 30 and 31 in Medicine Hat. The home opener will be June 4 against Edmonton. The highlight of the home schedule is a day/night doubleheader on Canada Day (July 1) against Medicine Hat.
