The Bulls were looking to close out the best of five divisional semi-final Monday night in Medicine Hat. But instead the Mavericks tied the series at 2-2 with a 1-0 victory.

After the the Bulls launched a 17 hit attack Sunday to take game three 16-10, they could only manage three hits off Mavericks starter Geoff Burke. He went eight innings to record the win. Brian Greene closed out in the ninth to earn the save.

Bulls starter Brandon Petite also pitched very well, allowing only five hits. The 18-year old Houston Astros draft pick went the distance and took the loss. His only mistake was a solo home run in the fourth off the bat of Mavericks clean up hitter John Mathews. Petite walked three and had ten strike outs in eight innings.

Joel Blake, Ryan MacDonald and Scott Hornstra had the only hits for the Bulls. MacDonald's hit was a double.

Game five goes Tuesday night at Spitz Stadium. Alex Tufts is scheduled to get starting assignment for the Bulls. It's been a close hard-fought series. and the deciding game should be no different. The Bulls are hoping their fans will come out in large numbers to support them. Game time is 7:05.
