The Bulls ended an eight game road stint on a down note with a one-sided loss in Okotoks. The Dawgs took a 3-0 lead in the in the first inning and went on to collect 18 hits in a 15-1 blow out over the Bulls at Seeman Stadium on Wednesday night.

The first part of the game was reasonably close and low scoring, with Okotoks leading 3-1 after five. But a six run sixth for the Dawgs put the the game away. The loss drops the Bulls three games below .500 at 8 and 11.

Taylor Reid was the starter and losing pitcher, going four and two-thirds innings. He gave up five runs on seven hits, walked four and struck out three. Jared Mortenson, Jimmy Munnil, Steve Hogue and Scott Hornstra followed from the bullpen. Hogue was the only pitcher who did not give up a run in the one inning he pitched.

The Bulls managed just six hits. Josh Lowden went 2 for 3 and scored the only run on an RBI single by Jesse Sawyer.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks visit Spitz Stadium Friday and Saturday to open an eight game homestand. Game time both nights is 7:05 pm. Then the Weyburn Beavers are in town for a two game series, Sunday at 6:05 pm and 7:05 Monday.
