Offence Struggles in Loss to Yorton
The Bulls lost for the second consecutive night on their extended road trip to Saskatchewan, dropping a 4-1 decision to the Yorkton Cardinals Thursday. The game was tied 1-1 early, but Coach Scott Rhodes says his team had trouble generating offence. "We're getting some hits", said the first year Head Coach, "but not the timely variety. We're not coming through with the big hit when we need it".
Despite the loss, Rhodes was pleased with pitching against Yorkton. Taylor Reid got the start, and took the loss, goiing five innings.
Rhodes said Mitch Schaafsma came in from the bullpen and pitched two strong innings, with Steve Hogue finishing up.
The loss drops the Bulls to 6 and 8. They're in Melville Friday night to take on the Millionaires in the opening game of a two game
series. Rob Hogue gets the start on the mound.
