Bulls back to .500 after loss in Regina
The Lethbridge Bulls moved back to the .500 mark (6-6) on the season as they dropped Saturday's road game in Regina by a score of 11-6. Brandon Petite was given the start for the Bulls and lasted 5 1/3 innings surrendering 6 earned runs on 5 hits. Cole Lencucha was first in relief of Petite, throwing 2/3 of inning allowing no runs and no hits. Austin Church followed Lencucha and was roughed up for 4 earned runs on 5 hits in just 1 inning of work.
Offensively, the Bulls mustered only 6 hits in the ball game. Zach Rhodes led the way going 2-for-3 with a double, triple, and 2 runs scored. Joel Blake added a double and an RBI of his own while Jesse Sawyer contributed with his 4th home run of the season, a 3-run shot in the 6th inning.
With the loss to Regina, the Bulls fall to 3rd place in the West Division and are 2.5 games back of 1st place Medicine Hat Mavericks who hold an overall record of 9-4 on the season. Bulls continue their Saskatchewan road trip Sunday at 7:05pm when they visit the Moose Jaw Miller Express.
